White Tenerife already has the Blue Boat flags for its vessels

Observing whales and dolphins on Tenerife is one of the activities that is most in demand from Tenerife's visitors and residents throughout the year.

The southern coast of the Island of Tenerife is one of the best areas in Europe to be able to enjoy viewing whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. It is possible to find as many as twenty-one different species, some of which live permanently near our coast.

Our experience shows that it is possible to observe these animals almost every day, for the very good reason that resident populations of bottlenose dolphin and short-finned pilot whale live off Tenerife thanks to the great supply of food and the average temperature of the water. Other species such as the Atlantic spotted dolphin, the Bryde's whale, the striped dolphin, Risso's dolphin, the sperm whales, sei whale, false killer whale are more abundant at other times of year, especially in the months of May and June.

This July, White Tenerife obtained the Blue Boat rating for its vessels as authorised boats, thanks to their characteristics and services, for whale and dolphin watching along the coast of Tenerife.

White Tenerife makes different boat trip options available to you so that you can enjoy this fantastic spectacle. You can view all the options in the corresponding section on this website.
